Since the advent of Live Streaming on Social Media became available to the masses by Twitch in 2011 and YouTube in 2013, Live Streaming has continuously been evolving.

Live Streaming has gone from being just another form of content such as gaming or talking head hangouts, to a viable infrastructure to support your business model, whether you are a Business Professional or an established Content Creator on Social Media.

As an example, when implemented intentionally and not just as a marketing experiment, it can become…

– A Sales Accelerator

– A Trust Building Mechanism

– A Scalable Communication System

– A Revenue Generating Asset

And one of the biggest ones…

– A Downstream Asset Generator, ( short form clips, blog posts, emails, etc.)

Live Streaming can be leveraged at every level of your business model, from simple internal Live Trainings to multiple video asset creations for the various Social Media Platforms.

Keep in mind, the ROI of Live Streaming is not measured in the same way as Ad Spend would be, but in long term customer or fan loyalty and a deeper connection to you or your business.

There are many examples of this customer/fan loyalty.   

In the music industry, look at Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran.   Each has a dedicated almost fanatic following, (side note… that is where we get the word “Fan” from), and each has given their following a unique moniker that they can claim as their own.

For Taylor Swift, her followers are known as Swifties, for Beyonce they are known as “the BeyHive and for Ed Sheeran they are known as “Sheerios”.

In TV/Movies, there is Dr Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly… yes I am a SciFi nut, but you get the idea.

We humans are naturally social creatures.   Leveraging this knowledge in a strategic way can be a significant building block in your Live Streaming structure.

So let me put a nice little bow on it here, Live Streaming can be a powerful tool for business.  

Wield it correctly and your customer/follower base not only broadens but also deepens.
